Charter Fishing - We have outfitted the Salmon Depot with the finest navigation, communication, safety and fish-finding equipment available. We have licensed captains who know where the fish are and how to catch them. All tackle is furnished.

The Typical Charter accommodates four to six people. Because we are a certified vessel, we can take groups up to 13. Half day and all day charters are standard, but special arrangements can be made for shorter trips. Luncheons aboard can be ordered in advance. Our goal is to give you a most enjoyable fishing experience.

Lake Michigan Scenic Cruises - Cruise the breathtaking clear, blue waters of Lake Michigan. South to Cave Point and Whitefish dunes or North to Cana Island and historic Death's Door passage where you cruise among the northern most islands, Washington, Pilot, Plum and Spider. Daytime or sunset cruises are available for groups.

Our boat charge to fish is $100 per hour for up to six people. The rate is then adjusted for additional passengers. Our most popular charters are three to five hours. We provide tackle but bring your fishing license with you (or they can be purchased at the Baileys Harbor Yacht Club.)

We are certified for 15 persons (including two crew.) Trips work best for six or less so each person gets his chance to fish.

An Adventure

You can reserve a full day charter at the same hourly rate and, if requested, we provide a very special luncheon for you. We serve coffee and rolls each morning; we have coffee and soft drinks throughout the day. If you wish to bring your own food and beverages, you are encouraged to do so.

We clean your fish on the boat within minutes of catching them. They are iced to protect their flavor and firmness. If you want them cleaned, filleted, vacuum-packed and frozen, we take them to be processed for you.

Departure Times

We are located at the Baileys Harbor Yacht Club and usually leave at 7 or 8 AM and 1 PM depending on tile season. These times can be changed on request. We will 'also make your lodging and dinner reservations just ask. No other charter offers as many options as are available on the SALMON DEPOT.
